Tree Removal

Tree Service Roy, WA Complete Tree Removal

If a tree is dead, damaged, leaning, or growing too close to your home or barn, it may need to be removed. I provide complete tree removal throughout Roy, Pierce County, and Thurston County for properties large and small.

Western Washington winters bring heavy rain, saturated soil, and high winds. These conditions place extra stress on trees and can turn weak or poorly maintained trees into safety hazards.

When a tree becomes a risk, it is better to deal with it before it becomes an emergency. If you are unsure whether a tree should be removed, call or text Beth for a free estimate.

When Tree Removal Is the Safer Option

Some trees cannot be saved. I remove hazardous trees safely and in control, protecting nearby homes, barns, driveways, fences, and animal structures. Removal may be the right choice when:

  • The tree is dead or decaying
  • The trunk is splitting
  • Roots are lifting or soil is shifting
  • The tree is leaning toward a structure
  • Previous improper pruning has weakened the tree

Why Topping Evergreen Trees Creates Problems

Topping evergreen trees is never recommended. When the main leader is cut, the tree tries to replace it by sending up multiple fast-growing tops. These new limbs are weakly attached and more likely to break during storms.

Over time, the added weight and crowded growth increase the risk of failure. In Western Washington’s wet climate, large open cuts also allow moisture into the trunk, leading to decay and rot.

If a tree has already been topped and is becoming unstable, removal may be the safest long-term solution. At She Cuts It Tree Service, I work hands-on in the field and handle tree removal with safety as the priority.
